Farewell 2010 and HELLO 2011

As we look back on the success stories about the  extraordinary students, teachers, and schools of last year, we can celebrate 2010 and say, "job well done". Southern California has had some wonderful highlight stories in 2010. One that comes to mind in particular  and that I had the pleasure of  reporting on,  was the recipient of the 2010 Milken Educator Award, awarded to Beverly Hills very own Dalia Golan, a fourth grade teacher at Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy. Golan was honored by the Bureau of Jewish Education for her commitment and hard work throughout her teaching career. In addition to receiving a cash prize of $15,000, Golan was taken to a luncheon to meet the three additional selected teachers. Receiving the "Oscars of Teaching" -the nations preeminent teacher recognition program, is a big deal, and I would like to extend my hand to say "Congratulations Dalia Golan to your seventeen years of greatness!"
