The Courier’s Inaugural Westside Regional Summer Opportunities Fair Will Ignite The Westside And Bring Summer Opportunities To All

The Courier in partnership with the Beverly Hills Education Foundation invite summer camps to participate in its inaugural Westside Regional Summer Opportunities Fair next Saturday, March 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the front lawn of Beverly High.

This regional event will provide a central place for Westside parents, families and students to learn what these summer programs have to offer. More than 45 exhibitors will showcase their opportunities.
This first annual event will feature camp booths, various educational enrichment activities and great food for all in attendance.

In addition, The Beverly Hills Courier and Beverly Hills Education Foundation will recognize National Merit Finalists from over 49 high schools throughout the Westside and South Bay areas.

It is vital to the Courier and BHEF in recognizing the finalists and their success. To do so, they will present a commendation certification and an award of $50.00 to each National Merit Scholarship Finalist from high schools across the Westside and South Bay. The winners must be present (at the fair) to receive the award and certification. The presentation will take place at 1:00 p.m. at The Beverly Hills Courier booth. Casual attire is admissible.

The Courier would like to thank all parties involved for all their hard work and dedication in making this first annual event a tremendous success. With over 27,000 students who’ve received the Summer Opportunities flyer- by distributing hard copies to 12 schools, numerous parks and recreations, including libraries, not to mention numerous school districts and 90 electronic versions to schools around the Westside-this event is definitely one not to miss!

For more information, please contact Summer Opportunities Fair directors Peter Kazanjian and Dupé Aleru at 310-278-1322 ext. 106 or summerfair@bhcourier.com.
